IAG and Claris Ventures announce a new strategic collaboration in the life sciences sector.
This synergy is born with the goal of strengthening the Italian biotech innovation ecosystem, promoting the development of startups in the pre-seed and seed stages.
The collaboration fits into a context of reinforced ties between IAG and Claris, recently intensified with the launch of the Turin-based team’s second fund. The two organizations have already successfully collaborated through several co-investments, consolidating a relationship built on trust, complementarity, and concrete results.
Emanuele Torlonia, Managing Director of Italian Angels for Growth, commented:
“This collaboration with Claris Ventures represents a key milestone for IAG in our strategy to strengthen our presence in the Italian biotech ecosystem. Combining our expertise and network with Claris’s experience in company building and in selecting high-potential clinical projects allows us to identify and effectively support startups in the most delicate phase of their journey.”
Carlo Tassi, Chairman of Italian Angels for Growth, commented:
“Since its inception, IAG has always paid great attention to life sciences, and in recent years our members have primarily invested in the biotech sector, co-investing on several occasions with the Claris Biotech I fund. The partnership with Claris represents a fundamental step for IAG in its mission to bring value to its members by collaborating with the top players in the Italian ecosystem.”
This partnership marks another step towards a structured joint growth that will enhance opportunities for scouting, evaluation, and support of startups, with a particular focus on Italian projects with a high scientific and technological content.
With this initiative, IAG reaffirms its commitment to amplifying the value of strategic collaborations, promoting an increasingly solid and interconnected innovation ecosystem.
